Ny generalsekretær for NUAS/New General Secretary for NUAS

1. januar 2024 flytter sekretariatet for NUAS (De Nordiske Universiteters Administrations Samarbejde) til Danske Universiteter. NUAS blev etableret i 1976 og har 65 medlemsuniversiteter. Samtidig er der ansat en ny generalsekretær for NUAS som også starter den 1. januar.

About the New General Secretary for NUAS:
Jórunn Magnúsdóttir has been appointed as the new General Secretary for NUAS.

Holding a master’s degree in educational science, Jórunn Magnúsdóttir has previously served as the Director of Studies at the University of Greenland, the International Coordinator at the Academy of Fine Arts in Iceland, and most recently, as a Senior Consultant in Study Administration at the Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen.

Søren Lind Christiansen, the University Director at Aalborg University, who will assume the role of NUAS chair from January 2024, commented on the appointment:

I am pleased that Jórunn has accepted the position of General Secretary. Jorunn has a strong professional background, and her Nordic experience adds to her qualifications. I am confident that she will contribute to the development and strengthening of collaboration within NUAS.”

Jórunn Magnúsdóttir stated:

Nordic cooperation is essential, and I look forward to contributing to NUAS’s efforts to enhance collaboration and knowledge exchange in administrative matters across the Nordic universities. I am very excited to begin this work and I look forward to meeting all those who are engaged in NUAS.

Jórunn Magnúsdóttir will commence in her new role January 1, 2024, and the new General Secretary will be part of the Secretariat for Universities Denmark, located in Copenhagen.
